Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th September 2012  meeting at 7 a.m.  Desenzano  del Garda (BS).

RULES AND ENTRY
Sportnaturetour sport association organizes in collaboration with Pedale Medolese on Sunday September 30th 2012 in Desenzano del Garda the 4th edition of the Marathon.

COURSE REGULATION
LONG - MEDIUM - SHORT COURSE
 
The event is open to amateur cyclists of both sexes from 18 years old licensed riders of Udace-Csain, or Bodies of the National Council and foreigners (Fci, Uisp, Acli, Aics, Csi, Endas, Cns Libertas or others National Bodies) in order with the 2012 licence.
The touring cyclists from 16 years old and amateurs over 65 years old can compete only for the short and medium course. For minor touring cyclists the signature of one parent on the registration form is required.
The participant relieves the ASD PEDALE MEDOLESE SPORTNATURETOUR of any liability about his physical fitness to take part in the race and declares to have sufficiently trained. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to refuse any unwelcome entry.
 
 
Registration fees and registration deadline for the Long-Medium-Short course:
 
MEN: €30,00 all courses for registration within the end of May 2012 - € 35,00 all courses for registration from 1st June until 22nd September 2012
 
WOMEN: € 20,00 for registration from 1st February until 2nd September - € 25,00 for registration from 3rd September until 22nd September 2012
 
From 23rd until 28th September: MEN € 40,00; WOMEN € 35,00
 
For disabled athletes (acknowledged by the FEDERATION) the registration fee is of € 15,00 both for men and women.
 
Discount Bike Club 2 euro. 

 
 
COLNAGO TROPHY 2012
 
This Category is open only to owners and riders of Colnago bikes. Who wants to take part in the Colnago trophy has to sign the reserved space on the registration form. Only the firsts of each course will be awarded.
 
Registration fees and registration deadline for “FAMILY BIKE CON GUSTO”:
 
Men and Women: € 7 within Saturday September 29th - € 10 on Sunday September 25th within 8.00 at secretary’s office including pasta party, children free.
 
 
 
Registration fees and registration of GARDA LEGEND:
 
€ 12,00 by online bank transfer;
 
€ 12,00 Saturday September 29th from 15.30 to 18.00 at the end of the historical parade at Palazzo Todeschini, Desenzano del Garda;
 
€ 25,00 Sunday September 30th from 7.00 to 8.00. Start at 8.30 at sercretary’s office at Palazzo Todeschini, Desenzano del Garda;

The registration fee includes: voucher pasta party, souvenir of the event, bib and bike number, refreshment, shower service at arrival.
  
 
For the issue of the bib number will be requested a copy of the payment and the registration form sent. The bib number can be also collected from third parties by submitting a written authorization with delegator’s date of birth. 
 
For all participants of every course will not be accepted registrations or substitutions on the race day.
 
If a competitor is unable to take part in the race, his/her registration fees will not be refunded. If cancellation is received by fax by the organization within September 10th, the registration shall be considered valid for the next edition with a debit of Euro 5 due to administration fees.
 
If the event has to be cancelled due to exceptional circumstances there is no refund of the entry fee.

Honour Start block(only for the long and medium course): vip, sponsor, master gold, transplanted category and competitors that at the moment of registration declare to renounce to the category ranking and compete only for the absolute ranking.
 
Merit start block: guests, competitors with combination Bike and Road and the firsts 10 of each category long and medium course edition 2012.
 
1st block: date of registration only for the long and middle course
 
2nd block: date of registration only for the long and middle course
3rd block: date of registration only for the long and middle course
 
 
at 9.15  short and medium course start with net time (real time) 
 
3rd block: date of registration only for the short course and touring bicycle
 
 
All riders of the short course will start alone from the last block. This decision has been taken in order not to create too much confusion at the crossroads that is only 5 km far from the start.
 
ACCESS TO THE START BLOCKS
The start blocks open at 8.30. It is recommended to respect the assigned blocks.
Each athlete must bring his own CHIP.
Time limit
For safety reason the maximum time to conclude the Marathon is fixed to 5 hours from the start.
Road Traffic
The traffic will be open during the race therefore the Highway Code must be respected. We remind all participants to keep strictly the right side of the road.

BABY BIKE RULES:
BABY BIKE September 29th (at Spiaggia D'oro): open to all children from 5 to 12  years old. The registration is free and it will take place directly on the day of the event.
 
 
 
 
EXTREME RACE KIT --->  DRYARN ADICI TECHNICAL ITEM FOR THE FIRSTS 1500 COMPETITORS:
 
It is an high-tech item completely MADE IN ITALY. This product is the result of the ADICI research (stocking and underwear district) using a technological and innovative yarn DRYARN: this yarn is the lightest one in nature, so light that it floats in the water. It is characterized by thermal insulation and is more resistance than natural fibers and also synthetic ones; moreover the skin is always dry and it is completely hypoallergenic. A combination made possible thanks to the high surface tension of the microfiber, that helps to evaporate the water, dampness and sweat outside the fabric where they can evaporate quickly, or be absorbed by other fibers combine to the Dryarn. To be even more precise it's enough to say that Dryarn is 167 times more effective than cotton and its insulation capacity is unique and higher than wool, keeping effectively the body temperature, defending who wears it  both from warm and from cold.

BIB NUMBERS AND KIT DISTRIBUTION:
 
The bib number will be issued in Desenzano del Garda (with original receipt of payment and licence card)
- Saturday September 29th from 15.00 to 18.00 and Sunday September 30th.

Residents in the provinces of Mantova, Brescia, and Verona will get the race kit on Saturday.
For teams, whose registration should be done by the team, only the team leader has to present himself with registration list and original receipt of payment.
 
 
 
REGISTRATION FORM
 
ATTENTION FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS:
 
The short course will start from the last block 15 minutes after the official start of the long and medium course.

 For this reason the type of course must be indicated  on the registration form. Who will start the race in the long-medium 

course and then changes in the short one will be excluded from the ranking. Regarding the medium and long courses, 

as there will be only one single start with net time (real time), it will be possible to choose later the race course.
 
THE LONG COURSE IS VALID FOR ITALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP.

Registration fees are not refundable for any reason and the course will take place in all weather conditions.
The teams that want to take part in the final race rankings for the greatest number of participants, must carry out the

CONTROLS AND TIMING

They are strictly obligatory both at start and during the course. The missed passage 

even of one control implies the exclusion from the race ranking. The timing service is 

controlled by ChampionChip automated system from OTC ChampionChip. Each competitor, in order 

to be registered and qualified, must have his own chip ChampionChip®. At the moment of the 

distributionof the race kit, who has not his own chip, can buy it for the amount of 15 euro 

or rent it paying a deposit of 10 euro. At the end of the competition the rental chip must

be obligatory returned. From the deposit will be retained 3 euro as rental cost.

The failed or incorrect use of the CHIP leads to the disqualification from

the race ranking and,for touring cyclists, the non-attribution of time-keeping.

BlueChip and other types of chips not expressly indicated can not be used.

 

Timing

It will be carried out by OTC Srl (Official Timer MySDAM. Each participant must 

have a personal chip or a rental daily chip. Information and conditions are published o 

the MySDAM website www.mysdam.it/info-chip.do

 

Note: the failed or incorrect use of the chip leads to the exclusion from the 

race ranking and the non-attribution of time-keeping.
